Key Features

  1. Custom Time Range Selection:
    • Users can now select a specific time range in the dashboard.
    • The Trend charts and Summary Stats will reflect this selected time range.
  2. Alignment of Charts and Stats:
    • Trend charts and Summary Stats are now synchronized to display data about the same time range, eliminating previous discrepancies.
  3. Expanded Analytical Flexibility:
    • Ability to retrospectively analyze data for any past time range.
    • Option to expand the view beyond the previous two weeks to cover longer periods like a month or quarter.

Specifics of the Update

  • Default Time Range: The initial setting displays the previous four weeks.
  • Selection Range:
    • Users can choose set of weeks, from a single week up to a year.
    • Weeks are defined Monday - Sunday.
    • Data is available about completed weeks (not partial weeks).
  • Trend Chart: Now spans the selected time frame, with each data point representing one week.
  • Summary Stats: All Summary Stats across the dashboard now summarize the data for the entire chosen time range. For example, when choosing the preview 12 weeks, the statistics shown are calculated over that entire time range.

Changes from the Previous Version

  • Previously:
    • Trend charts always displayed one year of data (or as much as available for a customer), with each data point representing two weeks.
    • Summary Stats were always referring to the most recent two weeks of activity.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  1. Setting a Custom Date Range:
    • Users can select the start and end weeks in the calendar to define their custom range.
  2. Selecting a One-Week Range:
    • This is possible by selecting a single week in the time picker calendar (click on the same week twice to choose it as both the start and end week). Note that the trend charts will display as a flat line due to showing a single weekly data point.
  3. Viewing a Year of Data:
    • More than 6 months of data can be viewed by selecting a custom range in the time picker calendar.
  4. Chart Granularity:
    • The trends are always presented in weekly intervals, regardless of the selected time range. Every data point in the charts represent a single week.

This update aims to provide a more intuitive and flexible user experience, enabling more precise and relevant data analysis tailored to specific timeframes.
