2024-08-08: ML Issue Classification

We're excited to announce the launch of a new machine-learning (ML) model at Uplevel: the ML Issue Classifier. This model takes Jira/ADO issue metadata and classifies each work item into three categories:

• New Value Creation
• Sustenance
• Defect Work

This allows for engineering leaders to understand their engineering investment and see how that trends over time — without needing to manually tag specific issues or Epics with a custom field.
